Package Air Conditioner Installation Supervisor Certification Management and Operating Regulations

Chapter 1 General Provisions

Article 1 (Purpose)

The purpose of this regulation is to establish the management and operation of the "Package Air Conditioner Installation Supervisor Certification" examination, which is conducted by the Korean System Air Conditioning Facility Maintenance Association (hereinafter referred to as "the Association").

Chapter 2 Examination Department

Article 2 (Examination Personnel and Organization)

The Association shall establish a Technical Examination Subcommittee to be responsible for overall examination management and shall appoint a subcommittee chairperson, examination planning officers, question creation and grading officers, and examination management officers to operate the certification examination.

Article 3 (Division of Responsibilities in the Examination Organization)

① The Technical Examination Subcommittee Chairperson shall perform the following duties:

• Guidance and supervision of examination work
• Matters related to examination system improvement
• Overall management and supervision of the technical examination

② The Examination Planning Officer shall perform the following duties:

• Planning and announcement of the examination
• Accounting matters related to the technical qualification examination
• Other matters related to the management and operation of the technical qualification examination

③ The Question Creation and Grading Officer shall perform the following duties:

• Preparation and modification of the examination question guidelines
• Creation, management, and printing of written and practical exam questions
• Grading and announcement of results

④ The Examination Management Officer shall perform the following duties:

• Matters related to application reception, exam locations, and exam supervision
• Management of qualification holders and issuance of certificates
• Execution of the examination (application reception, supervisor assignments, exam setup, etc.)
• Post-qualification management of holders

Chapter 3 Examination Standards and Methods

Article 4 (Examination Standards)

The examination standards shall be based on the candidate’s ability to inspect and verify general information on the installation of package air conditioners, including the necessary items, relevant laws, procedures, and methods.

Article 5 (Examination Subjects)

The subjects and key content of the package air conditioner installation certification examination are as follows:

Article 6 (Examination Method and Passing Criteria)

The examination method and passing criteria are as follows:

Article 7 (Examination Question Creation and Management)

The examination questions shall be created by at least three examiners, and the questions will be finalized one week before the exam date. The content of the questions must be kept confidential.

Article 8 (Examination Execution)

Once the examination begins, at least one examiner shall supervise the exam. Any irregularities must be reported to the Technical Examination Subcommittee.

Article 9 (Regulations for Handling Cheating)

If any of the following actions occur during the examination, the examination will be stopped or invalidated, and the candidate will be banned from participating in any Association qualification examinations for three years: 1. Speaking about the exam during the test 2. Copying answers from another person’s sheet or question paper 3. Using wireless communication devices during the exam 4. Failing to follow the supervisor's legitimate instructions 5. Any other dishonest or unfair actions

Article 10 (Certification Fees)

The examination fees are as follows:

Chapter 4 Eligibility and Application

Article 11 (Eligibility)

Applicants for the package air conditioner installation certification must be at least 18 years old on the examination date and must be physically healthy South Korean nationals.

Article 12 (Application for Examination)

Applications can be submitted via the official website and sent to the designated email or fax number. The application must include a photo for identification.

Chapter 5 Certification Management

Article 13 (Certification Management)

Certification issuance is managed by the Examination Management Officer, and issuance details such as certificate numbers are recorded.

Article 14 (Reissuance of Certificates)

If a certificate is lost or damaged, the Association will reissue it upon request, with the payment of the specified reissuance fee.

Article 15 (Personal Information Protection)

Personal information obtained during certification and examinations will not be disclosed or provided to others without a legitimate request.

Final Provisions

Article 1 (Implementation Date)

This regulation shall take effect 7 days after its establishment.

Article 2 (Applicable Regulations)

Any matters not specified in this regulation shall be governed by the "Qualification Basic Act" and the Association's "Technical Education Operation Rules."
