System Air Conditioning Installation Supervision Technician Qualification Management and Operation Regulations

Chapter 1 General Provisions

Article 1 (Purpose)

The purpose of these regulations is to establish the necessary management and operation rules for the “System Air Conditioning Installation Supervision Technician Qualification Exam” (hereinafter referred to as “the exam”) conducted by the Korea System Air Conditioning Facility Maintenance Association (hereinafter referred to as “the association”), to ensure fair and efficient execution of the exam.

Article 2 (Scope of Application)

These regulations apply to employees of the association conducting the exam, persons involved in the exam-related tasks (such as examiners), and any other individuals related to the exam process (such as applicants).

Chapter 2 Exam Division

Article 3 (Exam Personnel and Organization)

The association establishes a “Technical Exam Subcommittee” to manage and oversee the overall operation of the qualification exam. The subcommittee is responsible for managing the exam, including appointing a subcommittee chairperson, a test planning officer, an exam question management officer, and a general exam management officer.

Article 4 (Division of Exam Tasks)

① The Technical Exam Subcommittee Chairperson shall perform the following duties:

• Guidance and supervision of the exam tasks
• Improvement of the exam system
• Management and supervision of the overall technical exam operation

② The Exam Planning Officer shall perform the following duties:

• Preparation and announcement of the exam schedule and public notice
• Accounting and management of exam funds
• Other matters related to the management and operation of the technical exam

③ The Exam Question and Scoring Officer shall perform the following duties:

• Creation and modification of the exam question standards
• Preparation, management, and printing of written and practical exam questions
• Grading and announcement of exam results

④ The Exam Management Officer shall perform the following duties:

• Handling of exam applications, exam locations, and exam proctoring
• Management of qualified individuals and issuing of certificates
• Execution of the exam (exam registration, proctor assignments, exam setup, exam administration, etc.)
• Post-qualification management

Chapter 3 Exam Standards and Methods

Article 5 (Acquisition of Private Qualifications)

Individuals wishing to obtain the “System Air Conditioning Installation Supervision Technician Qualification” issued by the association must pass the exam.

Article 6 (Exam Standards)

The exam standards are based on the ability to perform supervisory tasks after installation of the system air conditioning unit, in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, to ensure proper operation and prevent malfunctions.

Article 7 (Qualification Levels, Exam Methods, and Subjects)

① The exam consists of a written test and a practical test. Applicants may choose to take either the written or practical test, or both.
② The written exam consists of multiple-choice questions (4-choice or 5-choice) and may include subjective questions. ③ The practical exam assesses the applicant’s on-site technical skills and includes tasks related to installation supervision.
