System Air Conditioner Cleaning Technician Qualification Management and Operation Regulations

Article 1 (Purpose)

The purpose of this regulation is to define the matters necessary for the management and operation of the system air conditioner cleaning technician qualification test, implemented by the Korea System Air Conditioner Facility Maintenance Association.

Article 2 (Duties of the Examination Personnel and Examination Organization)

The Korea System Air Conditioner Facility Maintenance Association appoints a Technical Examination Committee Chairperson to oversee the entire examination management. The committee will include roles such as examination planning, question creation & scoring, and examination management to run the qualification examination.

Article 3 (Duties of the Examination Organization)

The Technical Examination Committee will divide the tasks as follows:
① The Technical Examination Committee Chairperson shall perform the following duties:

• Matters related to the guidance and supervision of examination work
• Matters related to the improvement of examination systems
• Other duties related to the management and supervision of technical examinations

② The Examination Planning Officer shall perform the following duties:

• Matters related to the establishment and announcement of the examination implementation plan
• Matters related to the accounting of national technical qualification examination projects
• Other matters related to the management and operation of national technical qualification examinations

③ The Question Creation & Scoring Officer shall perform the following duties:

• Matters related to the creation and revision of the examination question standards
• Matters related to the creation, management, and printing of written and practical examination questions
• Matters related to scoring and announcing the results

④ The Examination Management Officer shall perform the following duties:

• Matters related to the application process, examination venues, and exam supervision
• Matters related to the management of certificate holders and the issuance & management of certificates
• Matters related to the execution of the examination (application acceptance, appointment of supervisors, setting up exam venues, conducting examinations, etc.)
• Matters related to post-certification management

Article 4 (Examination Standards)

① The Korea System Air Conditioner Facility Maintenance Association sets the examination standards based on whether the candidate has the necessary skills to perform air conditioner cleaning and maintenance as a technical expert.
② The examination standards for the system air conditioner cleaning technician qualification are as follows:

System Air Conditioner Cleaning Technician Qualification	The candidate must possess the ability to disassemble and reassemble a system air conditioner, understand the methods and precautions for chemical cleaning after disassembling the system, and have proficiency in the general principles and control of the system air conditioner to perform basic troubleshooting.

Article 5 (Examination Methods and Subjects)

The examination subjects and key contents for the system air conditioner cleaning technician qualification are as follows:

Article 6 (Question Creation and Management)

Examination questions shall be created by a panel of at least three question setters, and the content of the examination questions must be finalized one week prior to the exam day. The content of the questions must be kept confidential to prevent leaks.

Article 7 (Eligibility to Apply)

Anyone over the age of 18 is eligible to apply for the system air conditioner cleaning technician qualification examination without any restrictions.

Article 8 (Application Process)

The application process is as follows: applicants must download the application form from the official website and submit it via email or fax to the address designated by the association.

Article 9 (Execution of the Examination)

Once the examination begins, at least one supervisor will oversee the examination, and in case of any misconduct, the individual involved must be reported to the Technical Examination Committee.

Article 10 (Certificate Management)

The management of certificate issuance and renewal is handled by the examination management officer, who must keep a record of the certificate numbers and issuance details. In the case of loss or damage of a certificate, a replacement can be issued upon request.

Article 11 (Validity Period)

The system air conditioner cleaning technician qualification is valid for 10 years from the date of issuance. Upon expiration, the certificate holder must re-register, and the Korea System Air Conditioner Facility Maintenance Association must renew the certificate upon the request of the certificate holder.

Article 12 (Privacy Protection)

Personal information obtained in relation to certificate issuance and the examination process must not be provided or disclosed to others without legitimate requests.
